End Of Term!

Ok so it is the end of the term and that means XMAS! ok to all the people in the UK or USA you will be thinking that it means snow and cold winter well there in NZ we think otherwise, mostly because its SUMMER, yep the worst time of year unless you count back to school February. Well another thing that is good about the holidays is well its the HOLIDAYS a great time to just chill out and play videogames while eating chips and drinking Fanta with all the curtains closed. Another thing about the holidays is that my family has a batch up at Toupo (the big lake)

Well thats pratically all I have to talk about.

YR 8

Ok so its the end of the year and everyone is excited to go on to college or YR 8 well for me I am very excited to be a year 8 and here is a few reasons why: Well for number one it has to be OPC camp (now known as Hillary outdoors but for me it is easy to say OPC, number two is sitting on the chairs at assembly, well I have been waiting to do this all year and finally all the year sevens this year will get the chance to do so. another is to lay waste to all the yr 7s next year in dodgeball, this will be fun as we wont have to be the underdogs now we shall be the masters! Well I am very excited about next year, and I hope you all are too (post in comments what you are looking ford to as a yr 8 or at college)

ON Wednesday we had speeches and I think I was nervous but im pretty shure that it did not show anyways my speech was about how to survive a world war im confident that rm 12 enjoyed it even though I thought I was bad. all in all I had fun presenting the speech and good luck to you all for getting in :D

ok so NO SPOILERS in this review.

the book is all about surviving in the in the wild in Northern Canada but before all this starts well it starts with a fight... so main guy is walking with his girlfriend and this other guy sees them so he gets mad and smashes down the door and trys to kill the main guy but the bad dude gets pummelled and sent to juvenile prison. after that main guy goes to the forest to just think about stuff and he decides to go back to the forest (the main guy (yes NO SPOILERS) crashed in the forest and survived in the forest and got out) to live until fall the next year so that's what he does.

SPACE THING

Ok so the things that i found interesting about our space topic so far is mostly about the space time theory so it is basically that if u see stuff in space e.g. a star so it is thousands of light years away which it is billions of years away too so it is really confuzzling :b

What did i do in the holidays? - I Electrocuted myself

What did I do in the holidays you ask?
Well to start off with i gamed and umm... gamed -ok so the start was quite boring, but it gets better later on. on Wednesday Dad picked us up and Drove us to Waikanae.When we got there we unpacked sat down and watched a movie. the next day we got up at 6 and went biking, on the way we stopped for a rest, conveniently right next to a electric fence (time for stupid, honest money) so of course Dad came up with the idea of letting me touch it for $5 so guess what I did :) (ZAP)

PRODUCTION FINISHED :(

OK so the production was AWESOME! I was Krug (one of the main cast) so im a henchman of Neon (bad dude leader) also we were joined by Jerry the dumb (guy who owns lots of bananas and mangoes.) the entire production is based on two sisters (or one sister and one brother depends on what night you watched it) who escaped a planet explosion and were separated into two escape pods. Neon becomes a villain and Argon became a Cop, so very different jobs. eventually when Neon goes on a crime spree to steal all of the jutonian tech in the galaxy they cross paths, more than once. in the end the make-up and heal Fluffy (the cat who Neon took when the planet exploded and who was sick) all in all i think the production was a really good experience for all of the St Bens crew!

Production!

Ok so the production is in two days *worried face* i don't think we are ready  i mean, we have tonnes of work to do on some tiny things that would be really cool if we did them. also we have to finish costumes and some choreography to work on but i think we can get that done in two days :) all in all i think we can get it done and i hope it all goes well :)

BOOKS

Today i am going to talk to you about the reading challenges. Some people think that they are hard but it is not really. read a book every night for 15 mins? pfhhh i read for 2 hours every night. the random book challenge was easy but it was a VERY BORING BOOK. And that is pretty much it all in all i guess, it has been fun!

Favorite sport

Favorite sport? well I don't really know probably, Archery. Yes it is the only sport i really play but who cares? it is still a very fun sport. how do you play it you ask? do you just pull a string and fire? NO! it is actually really complicated (well me and my friends version) you get into two teams (even teams) the start is kind of like a relay, you get into a line and take turns at hitting the target (outside 0, ring 1, 0.5pts  ring 2, 1pt ring 3, 2pts Mid, 5pts) there is also other types of gameplay like capture the flag (well hat,) you get into as many teams as you like and get a item to represent a flag (we use hats) then to replace arrows we use homemade stick arrows (a stick with a weight or water balloon on it) and then it is full out warfare! there are many other ways to play. All in all I hope you have enjoyed your first taste of archery and I hope I have convinced you that archery is one of the best sports.

Production

in RM12 we have been practicing dances and making props for the... PRODUCTION! yes the past three terms RM12 and RM11 have been thinking practicing and prop making. I am one of the main roles -Krug
he is one of Neons henchmen. i have really enjoyed the preparation for two reasons 1because it is SO FUN, 2 because you get to miss out on work (who does not want to have a day off work?) all in all I am really enjoying the production prep/ practicing

END of Egypt

Today is the last day of our Egypt topic :( i really hope that we can do something like this again. my favorite part probably would be the minecraft challenge because of the world painter map that has a perfect replica of the places near the valley of the kings (and the valley of the kings) some of the other fun things that we did where the big posters of Egypt and all the art on the topic. also probably my favorite bit was all the fun activities that we all organised (Mrs Boldger can we pls do our game for reward Fridays????) the most information that i got from one thing was probably the PowerPoint presentations REALLY it took 35 people to lift one granite block wow... all in all i loved the Egyptian topic and I really want to do something like this again.

Nairnville

on Thursdays we have been going to Nairnville and doing gymnastics.
we have been on the trampoline, the rings, the obstacle-course and beams.
on the last lesson we had the obstacle course and the beans  with a finish off of the relay.
all in all I really liked the activities and i am looking forward to the sports.

PYRAMIDS

in Egypt we have been learning about Pyramids, mummies and other cool things.
But my favorite topic is the pyramids, as a project we have been building a scale pyramid in
minecraft. also in our reading groups we have been reading up on some sheets to find info to put on a
poster about some Egyptian thing, I am doing a report in Egyptian weapons and military history.

all in all i love our history topic.

Book Group

at book groups time i have been reading HATCHET, it is a really good book about a person, Brian who gets plane-wrecked? ( don't know if it is a word XD) in a Canadian forest and he has to survive with only a hatchet. I really like how everyone in the group joins in with the conversation and has something to say to contribute.

Warriors (into the wild)

when i was nine i would always, right before i went to bed i will read and read until i will fall asleep,
warriors was the most responsible.
The Best- selling book by Erin Hunter Warriors was, and kind of still is one of my favorite books.
the plot is a cat, rusty is exploring the wild and he meets a wild cat called Greystripe who is a Wild cat who lives with clan called Thunder, rusty goes to explore this clan.

 some of my favourite Quotes from the book are "you can not live with one paw in each world"
this means that you can not be in and out at the same time.
"Stupid Furball!" is an insult.
"Warriors should suffer their pain silently" this means while you are getting beaten up, shut up"

my favourite one is probably the second one (my brother is a VERY stupid furball)

holiday!

as some of you may know the school holidays is OVER well today I'm going to
tell you some of the awesome things that I did in them.
we went to a batch - but no ordinary batch this batch was CASA BELLA the big sign said so. the batch had a flat screen tv, two bunks, three beds, a trampoline, a boat, kyacks, two BBQs and THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS PLACE EVER! so we where quite happy with ourselves. the first day there we went to the beach (I lost my knife) and we went to a guys house to play with his dog while Dad talked the whole time (then we had the BEST fish and chips EVER) The next day we went on a LONG bike ride from the batch in Wikaneye to the house in Raomati then we went back (all in all we where on our bikes for 4 hours with two, one hour stops) that was one of the longest days in my history. luckily after that we took the kayaks, and... kayaked. after that we had a BBQ and went to watch the rugby then go to sleep. And on the last day we went to the beach and went home.

MISSION FAIR!

Ok so you are probably wondering how the mission fair went, well here is my answer; REALLY WELL! I loved all of it, hot chips, lollies, our pizza, gaming guys, pretty much all of it. in our stall we where selling pizza and drinks (really yum...) the stalls next to us where selling ice creme, ice creme spiders, lollies, hot chips and fudge, the best thing is when we realised that we raised $136 Wow! (all of it goes to Caritas) What I will do better next time is to get paper plates, but everything else was completely fine.
in a nutshell IT WAS VERY FUN!

oh dear well you know that post I did last week about the thing where you have to vote on the games well I found out that it was all wrong and that I had to a report on what I like doing not a vote so damn it anyways

I love playing Cal Of Duty and Assassins Creed (pls help me I'm on a level and I cant stop dying)

in assassins creed you are a guy who is part of this science test (where you enter the animus on the hunt for the piece of Eden) and when you go into the middle ages to become an assassin and you kill guys to find out stuff and yea cool game.

the other game I am addicted to is Call Of Duty, mostly multi player but I have completed the campaign too (WHY DID SGT GARY HAVE TO DIE!) well in multi player you get up ranks kill guys and have fun -mostly,  there tonnes of game modes e.g. Team Death Match, Free For All, Dominion, Capture The Flag and HQ

STATS TEST

Today we sis a stats test and i smashed it 99/100
although i found only one thing hard, Mean, Median, Mode and range.
well it is not the hardest thing in math but you get things muddled up
lots like mean and median... OK what one is the half and what one is
add them and divide them... any ways the easiest was probably the
basic facts test which all you do is just + - x % so yea easy.  =D

EOTC!

well EOTC was fun and probably the best experience this year so far!

my fav parts are the Video game making and the camp REALLY FUN
at the Video Game making we all got to make a 2d game and program
it to do anything we wanted it to do so e.g: i want it to teleport me to a
tile on another map i do @v//tp(tile number)m(number) and that teleports
me!

on the camp we got to do all these cool things but my fav was the kayaking
because we got to do all these things i would never do on a kayak like walking
over them to get to other boat or standing doing a dance or singing while standing
in them. we also got to race each other and other cool things.

SWIMMING!
we do swimming every week I am in Water safety so we have to do all these cool things like go on a rubber boat and pop it and survive with clothes and shoes on it is fun this week some people booked it before us so dang it, but next week we have a test next WOOHOO!!!

EOTC

in week 6 of school there is a EOTC week (education outside the classroom) we will be doing a lot of cool things: Climbing mountains, Making video games, Camp and sailing REALLY EXCITED!  =D
